ON JESSICA DREW
Jessica Drew is not in a good place right now. Jessica is a woman somewhere in her late twenties/early thirties with canonically really, really great hair. She has green eyes and is prone to wearing comfortable gear that is easy to roam around in, such as jackets, jeans, and simple shirts, except when she's wearing a skintight bodysuit with a yellow arrow pointing to her crotch. She is an Avenger and was born to HYDRA scientists, raised in a terrorist training camp, then recruited away from it all by Nick Fury. Recently, nobody noticed that a shapeshifting alien queen had taken her identity. She's still working through that. Jessica carries herself with hunched shoulders and a folded spine, and will fold her arms over her chest when she feels particularly small or defensive. She ties her hair up sometimes, but not often. Her current primary emotion is anger. She frowns a lot and grits her teeth. Unlike her best friend Carol, who leads with her fists, Jessica leads with her hips. But she's also really into hitting stuff right now.
POWERS & ABILITIES
Jessica Drew has spider-powers and was raised in a hydra-run terrorist training camp. Correspondingly, she:
- Is supernaturally strong; can lift up to 7 tons.
- Can take more physical punishment than your average Avenger.
- Possesses superhuman speed, agility, hearing & reflexes.
- Fires electrical bioenergy ("venom blasts") from her hands.
- Can produce love/disgust pheromones in a large area of effect.
- Sticks to walls, spider-style.

tagging: I prefer present tense brackets but I can default to present tense prose. I'm a medium to slow tagger, and will get out tags every two or three days.
shipping: Cross-canon, cross-Avengers, whatever. If the chemistry is there, I'm happy. Faves: Carol Danvers, end list.
warnings: Violence, bodysnatching, terrorism, human experimentation, self-hatred of nth degree. Some spider stuff.
Jessica's canon-point is flexible, but I aim for somewhere post Secret Invasion, immediately following the events of Spider-Woman: Agent of SWORD, or somewhere in the post-New Avengers (Vol 1) and pre-Avengers (Vol 4) era. I am playing from a ten year old canon point because I am a crazy person.
